Carolyn has been working with adults who have developmental and other disabilities for over thirty years. She is a registered medication assistant who, prior to working with Wall Residences, was a valued employee for the same direct care organization since 1988. She is very experienced and came to Wall Residences highly recommended by Northwestern Community Services Case Managers.
Carolyn’s husband, Garrett, is fully credentialed and has previous experience working in the same group home. He is a full partner in the care that Carolyn provides. They have two grown children and eight grandchildren whom they visit often. They have one Labrador retriever, Nala, who stays outdoors and is loving and friendly.
Carolyn and Garrett describe themselves as an active family. They enjoy fishing, camping, cooking out, and driving through Skyline Drive. They like to vacation at Myrtle Beach every other year. They attend the local Brethren Church on Sunday mornings.
Their home is old and quaint and belonged to Carolyn’s great grandmother. Since purchasing the home, Garrett has completed a lot of remodeling. The home is located off Route 11, east of Mount Jackson. It is close to Shenandoah Memorial Hospital and Shen Paco Industries, an employment service organization and a waiver funded day program. The area also offers events such as dances, bingo, and karaoke.
