Kathleen, “Katie”,  is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, cum laude, with an English minor.  After working in the mental health field for many years, Katie transitioned into working with individuals with disabilities and is passionate about this work.  Katie also serves as a companion aide for adults with down syndrome in her free time.  Katie’s passion for working with people with disabilities started at an early age, volunteering while in elementary school in the special education setting.  She was featured in the Washington Post for this innovative volunteering opportunity during her third-grade year.  Katie enthusiastically supports providing advocacy and support to individuals with disabilities and their providers.  Katie resides in and serves as a Senior Program Manager for Wall Residences in the Richmond area.
