Wall Residences provides high quality community services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking full-time and part-time, experienced Direct Support Professionals for In-Home services in the Lynchburg, Virginia area. These positions could be day and/or evening shifts.
Our In-Home DSP’s will provide care to our clients in their home or community settings. Duties may include helping the individual with domestic tasks in the home setting such as laundry, vacuuming, cleaning, organizing, etc. You may also be helping with meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, taking the individual to medical/dental appointments, assist them in finding job/volunteer opportunities, managing their budget, exploring their local community and more. If needed, you may also administer medications and perform other basic personal care.
Being available and ready to work as scheduled is of primary importance in this position. The worker is required to locate another worker to work for them in the event of a need to be absent.
