Wall Residences provides high-quality residential and community services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking full-time, part-time, and PRN experienced Direct Support Professionals for our group homes in the Central Virginia area which includes Lynchburg, Madison Heights, and Amherst. These group home openings are on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts and can include weekends. All required trainings are provided.
**We have a specific need for workers on 3rd shift!!!
Duties of Position:
Our DSP Group Home Staff will provide care to our clients in their home or community settings. Duties may include helping the individual with domestic tasks in the home setting such as laundry, vacuuming, cleaning, organizing, etc. You may also be helping with meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, taking the individual to medical/dental appointments, assist with medication administration and other basic personal care needs, assist them in finding volunteer opportunities, exploring their local community and more. Each day you will enter notes/documentation about the daily activities in the computer including noting any unusual events or conditions which may have occurred. You will also participate in training and organization meetings as required.

Hiring is dependent on references, an active driver’s license with a good driving record, and an acceptable criminal background check.
