An Army veteran with over a decade of service, Shameeka Dowling was a therapeutic foster care parent for over three years, working with children with various developmental disabilities and mental health support needs. She is eager to continue her journey of helping and supporting people as a Sponsored Residential Provider.

Shameeka has a bubbly, outgoing personality. Time with family who live locally is important to her. An outdoorsy person who loves energetic activities like hiking, Shameeka counts relaxing activities among her hobbies as well. Game nights, cooking, movies, and shopping are some of her favorite ways to spend time with family and friends. She enjoys traveling, including trips to New York, where she grew up.

Her home is a tri-level four bedroom, three bath house in the quiet Sherwood Hills neighborhood just one exit away from Southpark Mall, which offers lots of convenient shopping and dining options, as well as a movie theater. The main level of the home features a living room, kitchen, and dining room. Upstairs are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The lower level has one bedroom, one bathroom, laundry room and office and family room. There is also an attached garage and a sunroom.
