Miriam Wright has experience as a back-up worker for two experienced providers within the agency for several years and decided to open her own to individuals with disabilities. In addition to her experience as a back-up worker, she has been working chairside in Dental practices where she particularly liked working with individuals with disabilities who come in with anxiety and needed coaching to get them through their appointments. These experiences combined have provided her with a unique perspective on supporting individuals with disabilities.

She enjoys going to the gym, spending time with her family, and planning outdoor activities such as going to the pool, visiting Richmond for food truck pop-ups, bowling, the movies, and King’s Dominion. Miriam’s husband, Darryl, is a movie buff and gamer. As a family, they enjoy family game nights and spending time with neighbors and friends. Miriam and her family are also involved in their local church but do not attend every single Sundays as it is occasionally used as a rest/reset day.

Miriam shares her home with her husband and co-provider Darryl and their three children, two girls and one boy. They have no pets residing in the home. It is Miriam’s belief that her role as a provider is to support the individual in “living their best life”. She looks forward to helping an individual become a valued member of her family and the community.

Miriam lives in a five bedroom, four and a half bath home in Spotsylvania, VA. The home is newly built and bought in 2021. Upon entering the home, there is a play area to the left and stairs leading up to four bedrooms and a full bathroom. The master bedroom is upstairs with a full bathroom and two full closets. The laundry room is on the second floor as well. The home has an open concept, with the living room and kitchen area in view upon entry. There is a small patio attached to the kitchen/dining area with stairs that lead to the community sidewalk. There is another set of stairs off the kitchen that leads up to a single bedroom with a full bathroom and closet. There are smoke detectors/CO2 monitors throughout the home with one being in each bedroom, hallway, and the kitchen area. Their basement has an open living area for enjoyment with no bedrooms. The basement also has an unfinished room that is currently being used for storage.
