About the Provider
Orfilia has over 20 years of experience working with children and adults with intellectual, developmental, and behavioral disabilities. She has supported individuals with complex medical needs including those requiring G-tubes and J-tubes, ventilators, tracheostomies, Hoyer lifts, and oxygen.
Orfilia and Frederico moved to Virginia from New Mexico several years ago. While in New Mexico, Orfilia served as a Sponsored Residential Provider for both children and adults and has extensive experience as a foster parent. Over the years, she has also adopted five medically fragile children.
Frederico has gained valuable experience through his role as a Sponsored Residential Provider with Wall over the past several years. He also has personal experience supporting his child with autism.
Together, the couple enjoys traveling, sightseeing, fishing, gardening, completing home renovations, visiting farmers’ markets, and cooking. Orfilia, Frederico, and their 14-year-old son reside in the home. The family also has two Shih Tzu–Husky mix dogs.
About the Home
The couple’s home includes a main living area and an attached two-bedroom apartment. The apartment features two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room, a dining area, and a kitchen. The main residence offers three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, and a kitchen. The property is situated on three acres of land and includes access to the water.
