About the Provider
Monika and her husband of 30 years, Jose, bring extensive experience and a strong background in mental health services. Together, they served as foster parents for six years, therapeutic foster parents for four years, and have been sponsored residential providers with Wall Residences since 2020. Over the past two decades, Monika has worked in a variety of roles, including Residential Counselor, Instructor, Case Manager, Home Day Care Owner, and Senior Service Facilitator. She holds a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from Regent University School of Law. Monika describes herself as “a fan of coffee and family” and is known for being friendly, outgoing, and an engaging conversationalist.
Family life is central to Monika’s home. She and her daughters enjoy cooking and baking, mani-pedis, spa days, Starbucks runs, movie nights, shopping, swimming, beach trips, and traveling. The Soto family is active and deeply involved in their community. They enjoy vacations, attending sporting events, cooking together, and spending quality time as a family wherever they are. With extended family living nearby, they frequently gather for holidays, birthdays, and special celebrations. Their meals often feature a wide range of cuisines, from authentic Puerto Rican dishes to classic Southern favorites. The Sotos are regular church attendees and often volunteer for community outreach events. They enjoy supporting and attending a wide variety of sporting activities, including softball, baseball, basketball, football, cheerleading, and gymnastics.
To expand their ability to support individuals, Monika and Jose operate two neighboring homes. Monika resides with their daughters Shekinah, a college student, and Victory, a high school senior in a home designated to support females. Jose lives next door with their 22-year-old son, Miguel, in a home designated to support males.
About the Home
This three-level townhome is located on a quiet cul-de-sac within a welcoming community. The first floor features a laundry room and a private bedroom with a walk-in closet and an en-suite bathroom. The second floor offers an open-concept layout that includes the kitchen, dining area, family room, and a convenient half bathroom. The available bedroom is located on the third floor, with a full bathroom accessible from the hallway. Neighborhood amenities include a community pool, clubhouse, and walking trails.
