About the Provider
Maria has nearly two years of experience as a Waiver Care Organization (WCO) Direct Support Professional supporting an individual with WR, along with three years of employment at UVA Health. She began working as a DSP at the age of 18 and has been involved in the field for several years. Additionally, Maria assisted her mother, who has been a sponsored provider with another agency for eight years, gaining hands-on experience supporting services.
Maria also participated in the Career and Technical Division CNA Nursing Program, successfully completing over 250 hours of classroom and clinical training. Her clinical experience included placements at Liberty Ridge, Runk and Pratt Assisted Living, and Runk and Pratt Memory Care.
Maria is known for being hardworking, dependable, and mature beyond her years. She enjoys staying busy and values spending time with her family and attending church. In her free time, Maria enjoys visiting the library and zoo, participating in craft activities, shopping, dining out, watching movies, attending community basketball, football, baseball, and track events, and taking trail walks at local parks. Through her work in Charlottesville, she has developed strong familiarity with both the local community and surrounding areas.
About the Home
Maria resides in a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condominium located in the Madison Heights apartment/condo community just off Route 29 North. The condo is situated on the third floor and is accessible by elevator. In addition, there are two staircases located at each end of the hallway that provide emergency entry and exit access.
The unit features a spacious, open floor plan with wide doorways that support ease of movement. The apartment is equipped with central heating and air conditioning. Maria does not own any pets. The condo also includes a large back deck that offers a scenic view of surrounding trees and natural landscape, providing a peaceful outdoor space.
