About the Provider

Lila worked at Bethel Manor Childcare for over three decades and served as the Director of the Preschool since 2011. Throughout her career, she has supported numerous children including those with disabilities by fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. She also has experience as a CNA and spent four years caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Additionally, Lila has gained insight into fostering and adoption through her personal experience of adopting her great-niece. Her extensive background in caregiving and leadership equips her to provide high-quality, compassionate support.

She is a natural-born caregiver who finds joy in supporting others, both in her personal life and professional endeavors. She and her family enjoy going to the movies, taking walks at Sandy Bottom Nature Park, shopping at thrift stores, and dining out together. Lila is well-connected in her community through her role at Bethel Manor Preschool and her active participation in her church. Faith plays a significant role in her life as she attends church regularly and gathers with her family for services on religious holidays.

About the Home

Lila resides in a quaint three-bedroom, one bathroom home located in an established neighborhood in Hampton. The home has a large, fenced back yard for enjoyment. Lila currently supports an adult male in her home who enjoys listening to music, dancing, taking walks, playing games, and watching his favorite television shows. Additionally, her home is shared with her husband who works as a backup for the service and a Yorkie named Bella.

Lila believes that a family home should provide security, love, and a sense of belonging. She views caregiving as more than just a job, it is a calling that enables her to foster meaningful relationships and positively impact the lives of those she supports. Her personal and professional experiences have shaped her philosophy that every individual deserves to feel valued, respected, and part of a loving home.
