About the Provider
Jose and his wife of 30 years, Monika, bring extensive experience and a strong background in mental health services. Together, they served as foster parents for six years, therapeutic foster parents for four years, and have been sponsored residential providers with Wall Residences since 2020. Jose served nine years on active duty in the U.S. Navy and has more than two decades of experience with the United States Postal Service, including 11 years as a Postmaster. In addition, he has faithfully served as a church elder for over 18 years.
Known for his upbeat personality, Jose enjoys laughing, joking, and having fun. He is a devoted New York Yankees fan and enjoys baseball at all levels. The Sotos regularly attend church and often volunteer in community outreach events. They enjoy supporting and attending many sporting activities, including softball, baseball, basketball, football, cheerleading, and gymnastics.
Jose and his son Miguel share many interests, including cooking, dining out, watching sports, playing pool, go‑karting, and traveling. Miguel also enjoys outdoor activities, video games, reading, fishing, and has a strong love for animals.
The Soto family is active and deeply involved in their community. They enjoy vacations, attending sporting events, cooking together, and spending quality time as a family wherever they may be. With extended family nearby, they frequently gather to celebrate holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions. They enjoy a wide variety of foods, ranging from authentic Puerto Rican cuisine to classic Southern dishes.
To expand their ability to support individuals, Jose and Monika operate two neighboring homes. Jose resides with their 22-year-old son, Miguel, in a home designated to support males. Monika lives next door with their daughters Shekinah, a college student, and Victory, a high school senior in a home designated to support females.

The second floor offers an open-concept layout that includes the kitchen, dining area, family room, and a convenient half bathroom.
