About the Provider
Jennifer has been a Direct Support Professional with Wall Residences' agency-owned group homes since February 2017. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience supporting individuals in the group home setting and is excited to expand her leadership skills while providing support to individuals with more complex needs in a less restrictive, home-based environment.
Jennifer lives with her 11-year-old daughter, Adriana. Together, they enjoy spending time outdoors, especially exploring nature trails and observing wildlife. They also share a love for cooking, crafting, and creating holiday decorations. Their home is completed by a beloved family cat, helping create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
About the Home
The Apple Ridge home is located just a few miles from downtown Hillsville and Galax. Built in 1992, this two-story home with a partially finished basement offers a comfortable and spacious setting. The main level includes a kitchen, dining room, activity room, four bedrooms, and three full bathrooms. Jennifer will occupy the primary bedroom and bathroom, while the remaining three bedrooms are available for individuals receiving services. One of the bedrooms is large enough to accommodate two beds for individuals interested in sharing a room and includes a private full bathroom. Access to this bedroom includes two steps with handrails on both sides.
The upper level of the home includes two bedrooms that will be used by Jennifer's family or for staff space and storage, as it will not be licensed due to ceiling height requirements. The partially finished basement features three rooms, a kitchen, full bathroom, den, and additional storage areas. Outdoor spaces include a large deck off the main-level living room overlooking surrounding farmland, as well as a covered wraparound porch at the front of the home that provides a comfortable place to sit and enjoy the outdoors.
