About the Providers
Barbara and Larry Hatcher have been Providers with Wall Residences for over two decades. The Hatchers live on an 82-acre farm that borders the Blue Ridge Parkway and was previously a grade A dairy farm. Prior to becoming a Provider, Barbara worked as a CNA and supported elderly adults in her home. Larry enjoys farming part-time and often takes supported individuals on the tractor or John Deere Gator for rides around the farm.
The Hatchers enjoy the central location which affords them the best of both worlds, having peace and tranquility living the country lifestyle while also being able to access the amenities of Roanoke and the New River Valley area, which are within 30 minutes. They have horses and other outside pets that they care for daily.
They also have an organic garden, fruit trees, and promote a healthy diet including natural foods. Barbara is an avid cook and loves preparing fresh meals using produce from their garden. The couple also enjoys various community outings and will continue to support the individuals in their care to become involved in their local community.
About the Home
The Hatchers have recently remodeled their 4,500 square foot home. The home has four bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen, living room, laundry room, back porch, sunroom, and an enclosed front porch. The home has high-speed fiber optic Wi-Fi and satellite TV in each bedroom and in the common areas of the home. The backyard has an above ground, fenced in swimming pool for enjoyment.
